Ride through western Wisconsin includes Onalaska lunch
Folks in La Crosse County might have seen a large group of motorcycles riding down Highway 35 around the noon hour on Sunday.
Governor Scott Walker was in that group, leading his yearly Harley ride through Wisconsin.
David Reay’s at Onalaska was the lunchtime destination on Sunday, the second day of the trip.
The governor told reporters that he likes taking his fellow riders on back roads they might not normally see.
This year’s two-day trip began at Menomonie, and included an overnight at Mondovi.
After going through La Crosse County, Walker and his group headed to Prairie du Chien and Mineral Point.
Walker points out that this year marks the 115th anniversary of Harley Davidson…and even though the company has decided to move more production out of the U.S., he says he wants to see Harley continue to be strong in Wisconsin.
