Gallery: Bikers ride for Infants Remembered in Silence

With the sun shining brightly, hundreds of bikers set off from Faribault Harley Davidson on Saturday morning for the Second Annual Heaven’s Angels Bike Run.

The event, which included a bike show at Faribault Harley Davidson, was organized to benefit Infants Remembered in Silence, an organization that helps families who have suffered the loss of a child.

Infants Remembered in Silence operates in Dodge, Goodhue, Le Sueur, Rice, Steele and Waseca counties.

On Saturday, riders arrived for breakfast at 10 a.m. before departing on a three-hour ride through just Rice and Goodhue counties.

In what Event Chairperson Marc Hallin called “a pleasure ride through Southern Minnesota,” the bikers rode a long route, stopping for gas and a quick stretch along the way.

The group started at Faribault Harley Davidson and headed north on Bagley Avenue before heading east through Cannon City, up to Dundas and over to Dennison.

From there, the bikers maneuvered the windy road to Cannon Falls, past White Rock and into Goodhue before turning south through Bellechester, Mazeppa and Pine Island.

The riders then jaunted over to Berne before heading north to Wanamingo and west through Nerstrand on their way back to Cannon City and, ultimately, Faribault.

Upon their return, each riders’ bike was entered into the bike show.

As the show commenced, the riders sampled food from Bashers Food and Beverage truck.

All of each rider’s $ 30 entry fee went toward Infants Remembered in Silence’s general programming.
