When one mentions the name Harley-Davidson, they’ll usually think of unlimited power, very manly and really loud motorcycles.
But that could soon change.
According to a report by AFP-Relaxnews, the American motorcycle brand is set to launch their own line of electric-bicycles.
The brand teased a year ago that they are currently working on e-bikes, and last week, the company has finally unveiled three model prototypes.
The report said that two of the prototypes require the rider to step over the top tube, while the third one lacks the component.
All three e-bikes have a battery pack located along the down tube.
The company said in a statement that the e-bikes will be electric pedal-assist bicycles, and they are “light, fast, and easy for anyone to ride in urban environments.”
The report also predicted that the actual electric-bicycles could take a couple of years to come to the market, based on the fact that the company’s electric motorcycle took four years to launch after the initial unveiling.
It doesn’t matter when Harley-Davidson will be releasing their e-bikes, but we’ll definitely be in line to buy one…providing that it’s not too expensive lah.
