A motorcycle crash early Saturday morning left a north Alabama man dead.

The crash happened around 3 a.m. on DeKalb County 51, one mile north of Collinsville, according to Alabama Law Enforcement Agency Trooper Curtis Summerville.

Jackie Shane Gardner, of Fort Payne, was driving a 2012 Harley Davidson motorcycle when the bike left the road and struck a fence, according to Summerville. The 61-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene.
