(Dakota County, MN) A fatal accident involving a motorcycle in the east metro is a sad reminder that drivers need to again start watching for motorcycles and get used to sharing the roads with them again. On Saturday, a 19-year-old woman from Faribault was driving an Oldsmobile Alero and was stopped at the bottom of the ramp from southbound 52 to cross Highway 50. A 47-year-old man from Mound was driving a Harley Davidson and was westbound on Highway 50. The Alero driver’s view was obstructed by another vehicle, so the driver slowly drove forward, saw a break in traffic and continued southbound across Highway 50. The Harley Davidson T-boned the Alero, and the driver was thrown from the motorcycle. Both vehicles came to rest in the intersection at the crash location.
