EDWARDSVILLE – An Edwardsville man was indicted on several charges in two separate cases last week.

Christopher M. Bell, 33, of the 400 block of Shady Lane, Edwardsville, was indicted Aug. 11 for aggravated offenses relating to motor vehicles, a Class 1 felony; unlawful possession of methamphetamine, a Class 2 felony; aggravated fleeing or attempting to elude a peace officer, a Class 4 felony; and driving while license revoked, a Class A misdemeanor. The drug charge was a separate indictment from the others.

That case was originally presented by the Pontoon Beach Police Department.

According to court documents, on Jan. 7 Bell allegedly was found to be in possession of  5-15 grams of methamphetamine.

The second case was presented by the Metro East Auto Theft Task Force.

According to court documents, on July 19 Bell was found to be in possession of a reported stolen 2017 Harley Davidson on Interstate 255 at Collinsville Road when he fled from an Illinois State Police trooper; and was driving with a revoked license.

In an unrelated case, Michael W. Bridgeman, 42, of Bethalto, was indicted for unlawful possession with intent to deliver methamphetamine, a Class 1 felony.

The case was originally presented by the East Alton Police Department.

According to court documents, on July 7 Bridgeman allegedly had 5-15 grams of methamphetamine with intent to deliver.
