Antelope Valley, California (June 19, 2021) – 59-year-old Darryl Hatcher, of La Canada Flintridge, has been identified by the Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office as the man who was killed in a motorcycle accident in Antelope Valley last week Saturday.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the deadly motorcycle accident happened at about 11:49 p.m. June 12, on the Aerospace (14) Highway near Avenue A.

Hatcher was riding his 2018 Indian Chieftain Elite motorcycle when he crashed into the rear of a 2017 Harley-Davidson Road Glide.

The impact of the crash ejected both riders from the motorcycles.

Hatcher died at the scene of the accident.

The 47-year-old man who was riding the Harley-Davidson was transported to Antelope Valley Hospital with moderate injuries.

Both lanes of the freeway were temporarily shut down as the authorities processed the scene.

The CHP is investigating the cause of the fatal motorcycle accident.
