Ottawa County sheriff’s deputies are investigating a crash that killed two.

OTTAWA COUNTY, MI – A Marne couple on a Harley Davidson Trike died in a collision with a sport-utility vehicle.

Larry Hein, 72, and his passenger, Joyce Hein, 67, were killed in the crash Sunday, Aug. 5, at Cleveland Street and 40th Avenue in Ottawa County’s Wright Township.

The SUV driver, a 63-year-old Coopersville man, was arrested for operating while intoxicated causing death. His name was withheld pending his initial court appearance.

He was treated for minor injuries.

Police said the Trike, a three-wheel motorcycle, was going east on Cleveland Street when it struck the passenger side of the southbound SUV. The Heins, who were wearing helmets, were thrown from their vehicle.
