Covina man crashes Harley-Davidson, dies in Diamond Bar

DIAMOND BAR — The coroner’s office today released the name of a 33-year-old man killed in a single-vehicle crash near Diamond Bar in unincorporated Los Angeles County while riding a Harley-Davidson motorcycle.

He was Daniel Munoz of Covina, according to the coroner’s office.

The man was speeding on a 2009 Harley-Davidson Softail Deluxe eastbound on Colima Road west of Fairway Drive when he struck the center median that divides the eastbound and westbound lanes at 10:40 p.m. Saturday, the CHP reported. He was thrown off his bike and rushed by paramedics to Pomona Valley Medical Center in Pomona, where he was pronounced dead at 1:17 a.m. Sunday.

The CHP’s Santa Fe Springs office urged anyone with information on the crash to call (562) 868-0503.
