A 54-year-old Billings man was killed Sunday when he lost control of his motorcycle in Yellowstone County.
The crash occurred at 5 p.m. at mile marker 446 on Interstate 90 near Laurel.
The deceased was driving a Harley-Davidson motorcycle westbound on Laurel Road when he lost control, crossed over the raised center median and slid across the eastbound off-ramp on I-90.
The man was thrown from the motorcycle and slid into the front driver’s side tire of a 2020 Subaru Outback. The driver, who lives in Park City, was wearing a seatbelt and was not injured.
The motorcycle continued across all the eastbound lanes, down the off-ramp roadway and off the median. The Subaru came to rest shortly after impact.
The motorcycle driver was pronounced dead at the scene. He was not wearing a helmet.
