•More than 100 bicycles are scheduled to be given away from noon to 3 p.m. today at the Fort Bragg Harley-Davidson dealership, 3950 Sycamore Dairy Road, thanks to the Infidels Motorcycle Club and the local Harley-Davidson folks. The club is comprised of military veterans. Recipients of the bikes, according to club member Michael Knecht, have been identified by Fayetteville Urban Ministry.
•Santa and Mrs. Santa will be surprise guests today as North Carolina children authors Chris Engelfried and Jill Johnson read their stories at 10 a.m. at the Sandhills Woman’s Exchange at the 1810 historical cabin at 15 Azalea Road in Pinehurst. Mrs. Santa plans to have Santa there at 11:30 a.m., and pony rides will be available from noon to 1:30 p.m., too. “Giddy-up after giving Santa your list and taking selfies,” says Judie Wiggins with the exchange. And speaking of the the Sandhills Woman’s Exchange, it teams up with the Given Memorial Library for “Light Up The Nite-Hanukkah & Christmas Traditions and Legends,” starring local residents Dolores Muller and Joyce Reehling, at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Given Outpost and Book Shop, 95 Cherokee Road, in Pinehurst.
