JOPLIN, Mo. – Dozens of bikers rolled out for the 6th Annual Harley Davidson Toy Drive to provide area children with a merrier Christmas.
Harley Davidson began collecting toys and non-perishable food items at the beginning of November.
On Sunday, Nov. 24, bikers loaded everything up, tying toys to their motorcycles.
Anything that couldn’t fit on a bike was loaded into a truck to be delivered to St. Paul’s United Methodist Church where items will be dispersed to local families in need.
“It’s [for] those children that wouldn’t normally have as bright a Christmas; [they] have a brighter Christmas,” explained Steve Lippert with Harley Davidson in Joplin.
Afterwards, the bikers enjoyed a meal courtesy of St. Paul’s.
Everyone who participated in the drive also earned a pin.
