Join Battlefield Harley-Davidson on Saturday, Nov. 11 for Veterans Day and their event Rallying for Our Veterans.

From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., rally cars from Rally North America will be onsite. These cars and the folks driving them have been raising money for Hope For The Warriors for the last two years, and will continue on Veterans Day. From 2 to 4 p.m.., local sprint car favorite Logan Schuchart of Shark Racing will be onsite with his new Harley-Davidson and his Shark sprint car. Schuchart is a four-time winner in the World of Outlaws sprint car championship and will be signing autographs and collecting donations for veterans.

Shark Racing is a professional racing team and tribute to veteran Joe Allen (Logan’s Great Grandfather) and the other American military veterans and active service people who sacrifice to make America great.

Rally North America (RNA) is non-profit organization that was founded in 2009 as a way to combine a love for driving and raising money for worthwhile charities. In the years since then, RNA has raised in excess of $ 835,000 for their chosen charities. Each year RNA chooses a location somewhere in North America to hold a 3 to 5 day scavenger hunt style road rally. These rallies are planned in a way that makes it a point to stay off of the beaten path and drive the most beautiful and scenic roads in North America. In advance of each rally, all of the participating teams raise money for the charity for that year. The top 25 fundraising teams are then lined up each day based on how much money they raised. All donations go directly to the charity and each team assumes all of the costs to participate in the rally.

This is the second year raising money for Hope For The Warriors for RNA. This year as a group $ 150,000 was raised to support Veterans. Hope For The Warriors was founded in 2006 by military family spouses as they witnessed the impact that deployment has on our troops and their families. This organization is run by the spouses and over 86 percent of all donations go to our Veterans and their families. The money is used for so many things to help our troops reintegrate into civilian life that could be as simple as a ride to a doctor appointment or purchasing a wheel chair accessible van.
