Macdonald Aviemore Resort was in top gear for Thunder in the Glens.
The long bank holiday weekend event is the largest Harley Davidson motorcycle event of its kind in Europe and the resort provides the central hub for activities throughout the weekend.
The gathering also provides a major financial boost to the local economy as well as raising significant sums of money for good causes each year.
This year’s designated charity was Ride To The Wall.
It is a unique motorcycling fundraising ride that provides an opportunity for motorcyclists to ride, as part of an organised group, to a service of remembrance at The Wall of the Armed Forces Memorial in the National Memorial Arboretum in Staffordshire.
Macdonald Aviemore Resort’s new managing director Iain Miller said: “We are very proud of our long and deep relationship with this important and exciting annual fixture which attracts so many people to the local area.
“It is very special for the resort to be part of such a significant event for the community and we are delighted that, once again, the weekend has been a roaring success.”
Rally co-ordinator George McGuire commented: “I have never seen Aviemore as busy as it was for this year’s event and we were particularly pleased to welcome people who travelled from all over mainland Europe, America, Australia, Malta and South Africa to be with us.
“There is no doubt that the support we receive from Macdonald Aviemore Resort is instrumental in helping make the event what it continues to be every year – a thunderous success!”
