ATCC programs receives Harley Davidson

(Alexandria, MN)  Tuesday, Harley Davidson presented Alexandria Technical and Community College’s Powersports program with a new motorcycle. It is a reward to the program for having a student who finished second in the national motorcycle SKILLS USA competition. The student is recent Alex Tech graduate William (Billy) Peters. Billy won the local and state SKILLS competitions and was able to compete in the National competition this past June. As part of their promise to help programs doing well, Apol’s Harley Davidson of Alexandria was able to present the new Harley Davidson to the program, Tuesday. Apol’s general manager Tom Brenden says this isn’t the first time for Harley Davidson, or the school.

Billy now works for Polaris Industries, but was glad he could compete in the SKILLS USA competition, and what it does for the program he graduated from.

Duke Clemen is an instructor at Alexandria Technical and Community College.  He says the Powersports program is growing thanks to student interest and donations like this.

Congratulations once again to Billy…and the Powersports program at Alex Tech.
