All About A Classic 1936 Harley EL Knucklehead

Buzz Kanter of American Iron Magazine discusses the basics on his 1936 Harley EL Knucklehead. The first year Harley Knucklehead is Harley’s first production OHV motorcycle, the first with recirculating oil, and it is the machine all future air-cooled big twin Harleys are based on. www.aimag.com for American Iron Magazine, and www.caimag.com for Classic American Iron Magazine.

Well done sir. On all counts. To date, my only experience riding a hard tail and a jockey shift was on a friends EL Knucklehead. I don't remember the year model, but it was a bitza so I am not sure "year model" would really apply.  I had a blast on that ol scooter and I can see how these old paint shakers gain such loyalty from those that have the privilege to own them.

CORRECT!!!! Who cares! It is a damn fine machine, just enjoy it. Only an asshole would complain about incorrect tidbits on some ones  machine.

Thanks Buzz. Hope to see you at Denton this year. How about a book on how to own an older bike. Sort of "what to do daily and weekly to keep your ride running.
