Benefit concert
BUFFALO GAP — A concert benefiting the family of Detective Elise Ybarra, as well as detectives Robert Collins and Chris Milliorn, will begin at 6 p.m. at the Red Dirt Pavilion, 1302 Pecan St. Food trucks, raffles and auctions will be available. All proceeds will be presented to the Abilene Police Officers Association.
Musical
COTTONWOOD — The Cottonwood Country Musical will begin at 5:30 p.m. at the Cottonwood Community Center. A supper will be served from 5-7 p.m. For more information, call 325-660-5771.
Party on the Patio

Aaron Watson in concert
SAN ANGELO — A concert featuring Aaron Watson, Pat Green and Case Hardin will begin at 6:30 p.m. at Foster Communications Coliseum. Children’s registration
An ice cream social and registration session for children interesting in joining American Heritage Girls or Trail Life USA (for boys) will begin at 6:30 p.m. at Lytle South Baptist Church, 1125 E. Industrial Blvd. Both faith-based organizations are open to children from kindergarten through 12th grade.

Casen’s Crew Golf Tournament
The Casen’s Crew Golf Tournament, conducted in memory of Casen Riley, will begin at 8 a.m. at Maxwell Municipal Golf Course, 1002 S. 32nd St. The tournament desk will open at 7 a.m. Registration is $ 75 for individuals and $ 300 for groups of four. The Big Country Iris and Daylily Society will conduct its annual plant sale from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Mankin & Sons Gardens, 4002 N. First St.
School clothing sale
The Madison Middle School PTA will conduct a sale of used standardized clothing from 9 a.m. to noon at the school, 3145 Barrow St. The sale is open to students at all Abilene ISD middle schools.
Shooting competition
A muzzleloading rifle shooting competition will begin at 9 a.m. at the Abilene Gun Club, 6833 E. Lake Road. Registration is $ 10.
Car show
The third annual Cooper Band car show fundraiser will be open from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Cooper High School east parking lot, 3639 Sayles Blvd. Registration is $ 20, and will be open from 8-11 a.m. For more information, call 325-864-2054.
Dedication ceremony
A bench dedication ceremony will begin at 10 a.m. at Texas State Veterans Cemetery, 7457 West Lake Road. Eight benches were sponsored with funds raised through the 2016 CW2 Jennifer C. Hunter Warrior Run.

A back-to-school fashion show will be 2-3 p.m. at the Women’s Dillard’s Courtyard at the Mall of Abilene.
Tools for Schools Ride
The fourth annual Tools for Schools Ride will begin at 2 p.m. at Fatboy’s, 525 Arnold Blvd., and will travel to the Merkel Music Hall, followed by Pour House. Food, raffles and more will be available. Donations of school supplies will be accepted.

Back to school bash
Abilene Referred will conduct a Back to School Bash from 5-9 p.m. at the Festival Gardens at Nelson Park. Music, vendors, food trucks, a scavenger hunt and more will be available. Admission is free, but donations of school supplies will be accepted.
