COLUMBUS – A man who led law officers on a chase all around Columbus, is now facing charges in a separate felony theft case.
Several 4-wheelers, as well as a motorcycle and trailer, were stolen in Columbus during the month of July, and Craig Gresham, 24, is being charged with responsibility for a portion of the thefts. Gresham has been connected to the theft of one 4-wheeler, a Harley Davidson motorcycle, and a trailer.
Gresham, was arrested on July 17th, after leading police officers and a helicopter on a chase around Columbus on a stolen 4-Wheeler. Gresham was arrested, after being found, hiding under a sink, in a downtown Columbus apartment.
Gresham, is now facing additional charges for the theft of a Harley Davidson motorcycle and trailer. An accomplice in the motorcycle theft, Devin Zollars, 21, has also been charged in the case. Both admitted to stealing the motorcycle and trailer, and delivering it to Norfolk, according to court records.
Police have not said whether Gresham has been linked to the multiple other 4-Wheeler thefts that occurred, in Platte County during the same time period.
Gresham faces 2 felony theft charges, felony avoiding arrest, and a misdemeanor theft charge in the two cases. Zollars is charged with felony theft and misdemeanor theft.
Gresham has arraignment in District Court on August 11th, at 10 a.m., while Zollars has a status on felony appearance scheduled for August 10th, at 10:30 a.m.
