One of the biggest motorcycle auctions is held by Mecum at the South Point Hotel Casino & Spa in January each year. And this one was the biggest with over 1,700 motorcycles and motorcycle items crossing the block.

A lot of experts predicted a weak performance due to the massive quantity of bikes offered during the week. But the results show otherwise. American Iron Magazine publisher and classic motorcycle enthusiast and racer Buzz Kanter was there to cover the action and write it up for a future issue of American Iron Magazine.

But, just to give you the headlines, here are the 4 most expensive Harley items sold this year at the auction. And one of the is not even a Harley motorcycle!
