2022 All-New Jawa 42 Bobber: First Look
The bike in the video is finished in Jasper Red paint scheme, featuring a dual-tone red-white finish on the tank. The presenter claims that he himself owns the neo-retro 42, and further explains that the front disc brake setup is nearly identical to his bike. The black finish on the wheels lends a sporty appeal to the bike. In terms of design, the 42 Bobber takes the design cues from the Perak with a similar set of dual port exhaust, however, the presenter pointed out a major change in the placement of the tail lamp. The bike rides on 140 section 17-inch rear and 100 section 18-inch front wheels shod with CEAT rubber. According to the presenter, the headlight seems to be inspired by Harley Davidson motorcycles and makes a case for itself in terms of appearance and the tank will also provide a better grip during riding. Further, he explains some of the features of the instrument cluster along with showcasing the handlebar and charging ports. Jawa has given good attention to detail in terms of design which is reflected by the Jawa logo on the hand grips. The video also contains the exhaust note of the 42 Bobber and it sounds pretty good, to say the least.
2022 All-New Jawa 42 Bobber: Details
The 42 Bobber is available in three distinctive colour choices, namely Mystic Cooper (Rs. 2.06 lakh), Moonstone White (Rs. 2.07 lakh) and Jasper Red (Rs. 2.08 lakh). All three colours are priced differently and there is a difference of 1 thousand in each colour option. In terms of design, it looks unmistakably a retro bobber and the majority of its design is a lift-off from the Perak. However, there are certain differences in terms of front fender design, placement of tail lamp, fuel tank and exhaust tips. A two-step adjustable seat along with minor changes to the suspension and ABS tuning completes the list of changes in the new bike. It sports a complete LED setup in the lighting department and the negative LCD display is identical to its Yezdi cousins, the Roadster and Scrambler.
Powering the retro motorcycle is a 334cc single cylinder liquid cooled engine churning out 30.64 bhp and 32.64 Nm of peak torque. The engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox with a single toe shifter.
In terms of pricing, the top-of-the-line 42 Bobber costs the same as Perak. It is quite a unique motorcycle and as a result, has no direct rival except its own sibling, the Jawa Perak.
