2019's Harley Davidson Rally in Baildon was "one of the best"

THIS year’s Harley Davidson Rally in Baildon was a “special” one for organisers who are celebrating both 50 years of The Wrecking Club and 40 years of the rally itself.

It turned out to be one of the best, according to biker Peter Griffith, who said riders from Europe gave the day a “different flavour”.

Peter, who said the event was “fabulous”, rode alongside bikers from Holland, France, Germany and many more international motorheads.

He told the T&A: “There was over 500 riders.

“I’ve been involved in the club for 17 years and it’s been one of the best.

“The atmosphere’s been absolutely amazing.

“The weather has helped.”

Crowds lined the streets all the way from Otley to Baildon, either as curious locals or Harley Davidson enthusiasts.

Bands played across various Baildon bars during the weekend, but Sunday was the star attraction with the famous Charity Toy Rideout – riders bring along a toy to donate to the BRI.
