2 riders die in Warren County motorcycle crash, police say

Two riders on a motorcycle were pronounced dead after a crash Thursday afternoon in Warren County, New Jersey State Police report.

The motorcycle crashed just before 2:15 p.m. on Route 46 East in Liberty Township, according to Sgt. Lawrence Peele, a state police spokesman.

The male and female victims were thrown when the Harley-Davidson they were riding east on Route 46 struck a guide rail in the area of mile-post 15.5, police said.

“Both occupants sustained serious injuries and were pronounced deceased at the scene,” Peele said in an email.

There were no other vehicles involved, and the crash remains under investigation.

Police were not immediately releasing further information, including the victims’ names.
