A trio of robbers have stolen two luxury motorbikes after using their ute to smash through a Harley Davidson showroom in Geelong.
CCTV showed the black ute reversing into the La Trobe Boulevard store about 1.40am today.
Two of the offenders in helmets were then filmed charging through the entrance, before grabbing two bikes and fleeing from the store.
With keys already in the ignition, the robbers rode off on the stolen Harleys.
The most precious bike stolen was the $ 35,000 Road King Special model, released in limited amounts just two weeks ago. The other bike was a Harley Davidson Breakout.
“They had a pretty slick operation going on and knew what they were doing,” Harley Davidson general manager Jacob Gleeson told 9NEWS.
“It’s a bit of a shame…that someone else will be robbed of the opportunity for someone who’s going to dump (the bikes).”
Showroom staff discovered a tag that was attached to one of the bikes on a path near the store, but there are no further leads on the bikes’ movements.
“They can’t be ridden immediately. They’ll stand out quite strongly,” Detective Sergeant Gavin Mullins from Victoria Police said.
“We’d love to get some leads from the public.”
Meanwhile, authorities are also investigating another separate ram raid at a Watervale Shopping Centre in Taylors Hill this morning.
CCTV showed a Toyota LandCruiser being rammed into the glass entrance, before the vehicle and another stolen van was driven through the centre.
The offenders were then seen hauling an ATM on board the 4WD.
“(At least) $ 30,000 worth of damage, and a very frightened cleaner who actually witnessed the whole affair,” centre manager Martin Verschuur said.
Investigations into both incidents are ongoing.
