A GoFundMe account has been established for wounded Boise Police officer Kevin Holtry to get him back riding on a Harley Davidson.

An effort is being made to raise $65,000 to help make modifications to a Harley Davidson Tri-Glide Ultra Trike. The modifications are costly, as workers will need to modify the bike so Holtry can control the bike with his hands and arms, including brakes, clutch and gears.

Changes will also be made to the bike so he can easily and safely get on the bike and so it can carry his wheelchair.

Holtry was critically injured in a shootout with a wanted suspect last fall, which left him paralyzed from the waist down and his left leg amputated.

High Desert Harley will be leading the modification. As of Tuesday, $640 has been raised.
