Harley is defiantly going for the younger crowd in the sales end to get a boost on the foreign market. they know their engines are very dated on the older models, a way to "advance" themselves and not lose us older riders. a win/win in my book!

This had me thinking if Harley went on with the Nova project instead of the Evo.

I like the new Street Rod but I don't like this new Harley policy. Planning to put out 50 new models in the next 5 years (a new model almost every month) is fine but you should also be transparent and tell potential customers what is coming next. In this way customers are allowed to make better decisions. I think at the moment customers are blind, so to speak, with no clue of what to expect in the next 12 months. This new Street Rod is only the first of a long progression of new models flooding the market soon. Let's suppose I would like to buy a FortyEight model. Should I buy it now or should I wait for the new updated more efficient model coming, who knows, in two months? If I buy now I may be happy, I give you that. But my happiness would last no more than a month, until a new model replaces what I just bought, and was supposed to be a new bike. I think in this way customers are encouraged to procrastinate the purchase, always waiting for something different coming next. I like the fact that every year a new lineup is presented. I don't like when new models pop-up without warning. I am sure a lot of people who bought the Road King in february this year were upset in seeing that the new blacked-out version came out just a few weeks after.

True it is really aiming for the naked market which I have been looking for a while now and I would probably have already ordered it if it was not €12500. A Honda NC750S costs €7100 for a comparison. And this is no apples to oranges comparison. Both of them are essentially commuting bikes. And lets face it. Even tho Street Rod looks awesome it does not sound like a Harley and I doubt it even feels like one.

I think it looks pretty damn good with a few great toys thrown in and it reminds me of an XR1200. . . was that their plan all along?
